| Shirl
Anne has devoted her life to music. Although she pursued her
passion part-time for many years, she made the decision in 2011 to dedicate
herself to music full-time. Through life's challenges and triumphs,
music remained her constant source of strength and inspiration. Determined
to share her voice, her experiences, and her heart with others, Shirl
stepped fully into the world of music—and has felt at home ever since.
No matter what life may bring, music continues to live in her heart,
and she finds great joy in sharing that gift with audiences everywhere.
Before pursuing music full-time, Shirl modeled for the Gary Von Modeling
Agency, showcasing dresses, furs, fashion apparel, handbags, footwear,
and lingerie. While modeling offered many opportunities, her true passion
remained music. Choosing to follow her dreams, she left the modeling
world behind to focus on songwriting, performing, and creating.
A singer, songwriter, novelist, musician, and composer, Shirl has been
singing since childhood. She began playing guitar in 1988, bass guitar
in 1991, and drums in 2003. Whether performing upbeat country favorites,
heartfelt ballads, or original compositions, she simply loves to sing,
write, compose, and play.
Throughout her career, Shirl has performed for organizations including
the March of Dimes, The Hunger Task Force, senior centers, nursing homes,
and numerous charitable benefits. Her performances have taken her across
West Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Ohio, Texas, and California.
Shirl has shared the stage with many talented artists and bands, including
Southern Stars, Indian River, Rag and the Rose, Roger Martin, Harry
James Gang, Jerry Cole, Saddle Tramp Band, Autumn Mist, Sour Grapes,
Radical Driveway, The Horizon Band, High Riding Heroes, The Pony Express,
Carwin Country, Coon Hollow Band, Midnight Rodeo, Outriders, Timber
Lane, Wild Card Band, Southern Rose Band, Sweet Nothings, and Steel
Tears.
Over the years, Shirl has appeared on local television programs, radio
broadcasts, recording studio projects, and regional tours. Most importantly,
she strives to connect with people through music that speaks to life's
joys, struggles, hopes, and dreams. With a style all her own and a distinctive
voice, Shirl continues to touch hearts and share her passion one song
at a time.
